Mobile Diesel Mechanic — Quesnel, BC

Diesel problems rarely announce themselves clearly. A derate, a rough start, a warning light or a puddle under the machine can all trace back to several different systems. This is on-site diesel diagnosis and repair for trucks and equipment around Quesnel.

After-hours breakdown calls taken.

Diesel faults we get called for

  • No-start and hard-start troubleshooting, including cold weather starting
  • Engine derates, warning lamps and stored fault codes
  • Fuel system faults — filters, water contamination, lift pumps, supply and return issues
  • Air intake, boost leaks, turbo and charge air problems
  • Cooling system faults, overheating and coolant loss
  • Charging and starting circuits, batteries, grounds and cabling
  • Emissions-related faults including regen and after-treatment warnings
  • Oil pressure, sensor and wiring faults

Diagnostics, then a clear answer

The first job is reading what the machine is actually telling us — codes, live data, pressures and the physical condition of the system — instead of guessing from the symptom. On a cold morning in Quesnel, a no-start could be fuel gelling, a failing battery bank, a starting circuit issue or a genuine engine fault. Those all get approached differently and cost very different amounts.

Once the fault is identified, we do the repair if it's reasonable in the field: filters, sensors, hoses, wiring, batteries, charging components, leaks and plenty of bolt-on parts. If the diagnosis points to internal engine work, injector or pump work requiring bench equipment, or an after-treatment repair that needs shop tooling, we tell you what we found and what the shop is going to need to do.
