About
A Mobile Mechanic Built Around How Quesnel Works
Quesnel Mobile Mechanic is a mobile heavy duty and diesel service operating out of Quesnel. The idea is simple: bring a properly equipped service truck to the machine, find out what's actually wrong, and fix what can reasonably be fixed in the field.
After-hours breakdown calls taken.
How a call usually goes
You call and describe the unit, the location and what it's doing. We work out whether it's something to attempt in the field, what tools and parts are worth bringing, and when we can realistically be there. On site, the first job is diagnosis — codes, tests, pressures and a physical inspection — before anything gets replaced.
If the repair is field-appropriate, it gets done. If it isn't, you get a clear explanation of what the machine needs and why it has to go to a shop, so you can arrange transport once with a plan instead of moving equipment to find out what's wrong with it.
What we're careful about
We don't claim to repair everything, and we don't claim every location is always serviceable. Internal engine work, major rebuilds, structural repair and dealer-restricted procedures belong in a shop or at a dealer. Remote calls depend on road access, ground conditions, weather and safety. Saying that up front is more useful than an optimistic promise that costs you a day.
After-hours breakdown calls taken. We don't guarantee 24/7 arrival times — you'll get an honest answer on whether we can reach you and roughly when.
Who we work with
Logging contractors and owner-operators, log truck and highway tractor drivers, construction and excavation companies, gravel and pit operations, mining and industrial businesses, ranchers running diesel equipment, and commercial fleets around Quesnel and the North Cariboo. Most share the same problem: the equipment is out working, and moving it for a repair is the expensive part.
